OLIVER LALLEMANT’S career began with a flight into the absurd: while still a young chorister at Llandaff Cathedral, he sang “We’re Walking in the Air” from The Snowman, in Welsh, for S4C Television. Later, as Organ Scholar of Trinity College Cambridge, he toured India, America and much of Europe. Now based in London, Oliver is Organist and Assistant Director of Music at Holy Trinity Sloane Square and leads a hectic freelance life that takes him all over the world. He is a Fellow of The Royal College of Organists and holds a Licentiate Diploma from The Royal Schools of Music. In addition to his role as Musical Director of Chelsea Chamber Choir, Oliver also directs Sloane Square Choral Society and The Chelsea Arts Club Singers.
The epitome of musical diversity, Oliver plays jazz piano at receptions for weddings and private celebrations of all kinds, and appears regularly at Mansion House and at many other exclusive venues.
In close partnership with drummer Felix Higginbottom and bassist Rob Paterson, Olly recently founded The Lallemant Trio, which recorded its first CD last summer. The Lallemant Trio has a residency at The London Sketch Club in Chelsea where they host an evening of jazz once a month as part of a fundraising effort for Sloane Square Choral Society’s Scholarships Fund.
